- AksyonTV rebrands as 5 Plus
Paliwanag ni TV5 President at CEO Vicente “Chot” Reyes, “To give it [5 Plus] a more distinct identity kasi ang dating Aksyon TV parang halo-halo, di ba?
“People didn’t really know what Aksyon stands for so it was hard for us to monetize kasi, di ba, its hard, e.
“So, by giving it 5 Plus, we’re now giving it a definite proposition.”
Sagot ni Reyes, “It’s really an extension of a lot of other sports that we have now in our portfolio.
“So, we’re giving them now more time, we’re giving it a home especially e-sports, fight sports all these other extreme sports.
“All sports, wala ng iba.”
Meron pa kaming some Hollywood shows, yung iba pa naming nilalagay.
“Sa 5 Plus wala nang ganun.”
Nakausap ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) si Coach Chot sa relaunching ng Aksyon TV bilang 5 Plus noong January 10 sa People’s Palace restaurant, Greenbelt, Makati City.

2018, A GOOD YEAR FOR TV5
Sabi pa niya, “Very good. We actually improved our bottom line, about 30 percent at a time when the industry, I’m sure you know our competitors, they have some decreases, but we actually improved our bottom line.
“It’s a very good year for us compared to the industry.”
